I have the TSU2000, and I noticed last night that my battery meter showed 3 blocks of strength remaining. Well, I put it on the charger last night before I went to bed, and made sure the charger's light came on. I woke up today to find the battery meter still shows only 3 blocks of strength. Now, I just got home from work and checked it again after it had been on the charger for about 5 hours, and sure enough, still 3 blocks. What is going on here? I reseated the battery in the Pronto last night before I went to bed. Any ideas?

I had the same problem, I read the FAQs, came up with this, tried it and it solved the problem for me! [Link: remotecentral.com]"This is a known issue on the remote control. If you're sure the battery is fully charged - you've put it on the charger but it stops charging after a few minutes, remove the battery from the remote and then put it back. It should now read full. This condition appears to be triggered by letting the battery levels get fairly low. Instead, always keep your remote topped up every few days. Since it uses a NiMH battery, "memory" effects are very minimal and you should not see any degradation in performance."

Mine has been doing the same thing. When it was new I couldn't get more than 5 bars. It was charged for 48 hours before I ever used it. Last week 3 bars was the most I would ever get. I tried topping it off but it didn't work. Now my charger is not working. The charge light will not come on. I've tried several working outlets, and reseated all plugs and the batteries and it is still inop. I think there are problems with the charging system by Phillips....

I had same problem. If you remove the battery for a few seconds and then refit it this cures the problem......well, at least it did for me. Good Luck

When you get it charged be sure to charge it before it drops down to 3 bars left. Ever since doing that it has been problem free for me.

Since purchasing in January, I have had issues as well with my Pronto only showing 50%, but after all the useful suggestions on this board my battery began showing a full charge.
However, much like the person above, two nights ago my charging station decided to not work anymore. I have also tried different outlets, etc. but the light refuses to come on when cradled with the Pronto! At first, I thought that the little bulb had gone out, but not only has the light gone out, but it is also no longer charging.
Is anyone else having this same issue? Any known fixes?

Sometimes the reason the charger does not charge the unit is because the electrical contacts get dirty with oil from your fingers and dust and dirt in the air. Try using a clean eraser from a pencil to clean the contacts on both the chager and the remote. This ususally clears up a non-charging problem.

Dirty contacts also seemed to be the problem I was having with my Pronto not charging when docked! I dipped a Q-tip in some rubbing alcohol and cleaned both the contacts on the Pronto and the charging station, and low-in-behold the little green light comes on and the Pronto now charges while docked.
