Just bought a TS1000 before Christmas, it was supposed to be the latest version the TS2000, they told me that the TS2000 was not available yet in Canada. Is there someone who can validate this information.(I know, I could have order it from the net in US but I wanted to buy it locally)

Best bet is to buy from a U.S retailer...bought mine though J&R and paid the equivilent of $400 CAD for my TSU2000. While I like to support our canadian retailers, I am not about to pay twice the price I can from an american etailer.

Last I heard the TSU-1000 wasn't officially available in Canada either, I had to buy mine online back in 99.

I ship about 8 TSU2000 and TSU2000+DS1000 ("Bundles") to Canada every week from my eBay US postings.
The Canadian$ equivalent based upon one of two currently running "Dutch" (that's multiple units offered at the same time)is anywhere from CA$ 369.60 for the TSU2000 to CA$ 462.00 for the "Bundle".
The shipping via Express Mail (2/3 days Eastern 3/4 Western Canada in your hands) about US$ 23.00 or US$ 28.00 respectively. They "fly" through customes and I have been told that the $5.00 fee is billed directly to the buyer after the fact by the CA Government.
Additionally, in most Provinces I have been told there is no 8% Provincal Tax because it comes from outside Canada AND the GST is, as you know only 7%. So, you pick up 1% if you are in one of the Provences where this applies.
Since I have been politely asked not to post links, you will have to go to eBay and do a search by Seller alpha2data to see the offerings currently running.
I would also add that oddly enough a couple of weekends ago I had an "ALL CANADA" offering on eBay .CA and only sold 2 or 3 units. The search engine from eBay .CA did not even turn up my offerings. There turned out to be a "catch-22" in that if a Canadian were searching eBay .CA for the Pronto, they would my offerings on eBay .CA would not show up because they were not _located IN Canada_, so it was a futile experiment. (Live and learn).
The point of that last paragraph is to let you know that when you do search from eBay .CA you are NOT seeing the listings that may exist there unless the item is actually located in Canada. I have contacted my supplier's recently appointed V.P. for the Canadian branches to see if I can change the current situation; however, for the time being I can only stock & ship from the U.S.
I hope this helps this discussion and will not cause me to be chastized again.

The problem seems to be that when you search from eBay Canada

Hi Bruce: When you go to Ebay Canada and do a search, select seller will ship to Canada right below the search query. BTW Ebay Canada is located at: http://www.ca.ebay.com/If you select this as I just did and search for TSU2000 it comes up with 15 auctions *and yes yours were listed Bruce). Randy

Hi Randy...
My problem was a little different. I did log onto eBay .CA (that's how they "logo" it, it's not the dns address) to do the listing, but the regular search for Philips Pronto kept turning up nothing.
I emailed eBay Power Seller support and they at first indicated a problem, but never told me what it was. However, it continued to happen. So I simply figured that it was because the location of the item was not in Canada, but the US.
I really appreciate your pointer about "will ship to Canada", I didn't realize that I had to also qualify my search by that parameter while I was trying my searches from eBay .CA during the time this was going on. I completely missed trying that.
