I have noticed that after any updates on the Pronto using ProntoEdit, the system always deafults back to the TV device menu when it first starts up. I see the same thing whenever I startup the emulator to test my menus.
This is only a minor annoyance since the Pronto always remembers the last screen it was at, but I'm more interested in understanding if there is some default device setting that I can't find anywhere.

Two steps will change this behavior and make your home screen come up first.
1.) Rename your home screen to Home (notice the uppercase H)
2.) Go into system properties and check the HOME panels are write-protected
That should do it.
