I just bought a Pronto TSU 2000 (my first universal type remote). I was able to create a macro which turns on my TV, VCR and receiver. What I'm having problems with is not being able to control the volume unless I go back to the default home screen, push PreAmp and then adjust the volume. Also I have no control over the on/off for my RCA Direct TV. I have to leave the macro, go to the DBS button on the default home screen and from there I can turn the RCA Direct TV on and off. I have read the FAQ's, but I'm still confused. I have many more questions, but I'll start with these two first. Appreciate anyone's help on this.

If you assign the volume buttons under System properties they will work everywhere (unless you oveerride them on a specific device).

I had similar problems. Part of the problem is that the standard CCF which is built in has overrides on every device which change the function of the hard buttons depending on which device is current. Since I only use one volume for everything (AV Receiver) I had to go through and remove all of the other codes for the other devices (which by the way are all Philips codes). I used ProntoEdit for this. These codes are defined in the "properties" window for each device. I defined most of the hard keys at the home level "properties" only which makes them the same whichever screen is active.

I think the standard CCF is more a hindrance than a help. A lot of things defined there that I will never use, and lots of codes to remove to get the result I need.
