I scanned an image to be put on an RC5000i. But when I tried to load the image into the icon screen it said cannot do because bitmat has to be 1,4,6, or 8. I did all the other basic commands such as 240x219, etc. Can anyone help me w/ this problem. Thanks

The bitmap has to limited to 256 colors (8 bit) or less. Use a paint program to reduce the picture's colors and RC5000setup will automatically convert the bitmap to black and white.

Still, a better way is that in Paint Shop Pro (and I'm sure other programs out there) you can build a palate using the four colors the RC5000 uses. Once created, developing a bitmap from scratch becomes alot easier as what you creat is truely what you get when loaded into the RC5000i. You can also apply a palate to an existing bitmap.
