Way new to the Pronto...love it, but I want to customize it. I know how to load in CCF's, but do not know how to merge them without erasing what you want to keep. Also, I am not sure how to add BMP's to a particular screen. Any tips? I'm green.....

Thx.

The absolute most critical thing is to scour this site, the Pronto review, the FAQ's...go the the Philps Pronto web site and print out the ProntoEdit instructions.

I have printed almost everything I could find, including responses in the forum, and put together an awesome notebook. I have had my Pronto for less than one month and am cranking.

If you don't expect to get it overnight you should really enjoy it.

Now, "make it so"

If you have a CCF file that has just maybe one device that you want delete every thing else in the file including the home page and all macros. Then save the file. Open up the file you want to have the first file merge with (your CCF file )and select replace . Then open up the edited file and select merge. The edited file will merge with your file. One thing to remember. If you want the codes also from a merged file you need to look at the file before you edit it and see where the codes are stored. A lot of people will have the codes somewhere else in the file and then aliase them to thier devices If you delete the codes you will still have the device and panels but you will have to relearn the codes. As for erasing what you want to keep merging a file to another will not erase anything. It will ony combine the two files.

Mason!
Great advice I did the same thing and by the time I opened my Pronto box on Xmas day I knew exactly how I wanted it set up. Less than two hours later it was operational. Small tweaks since have it doing exactly what I wanted. Lesson: Time invested=results out!! Like most things in life.

Even re-did my brother's Pronto that was set up by an "expert" for $$. They obviously had no real understanding of how Pronto programming works from looking at their CCF file.
