Working with ProntoEdit 2.0

I am having problems assigning IR codes I think....

My problem -
I create a button - to turn on The Discovery Channel AFTER everything is already powered up. I use the set IR and enter Digit 2 Digit 8 Digit 2.
When I try to view the button in the emulator, it does not show up.
I understand this is because the button has no action associated with it, but I thought the IR commands would suffice. Is this not so?

Sidenote - The IR button has "Brands" dropdown list. General Instruments(AT&T Digital Cable) is not listed. Can I leave this "not applicable"?

Thanks,
Jon

What do you mean by "set IR and enter Digit 2 Digit 8 Digit 2".

With SetIR you should be selecting a single commmand for a device, or use the Learn IR to learn a code.
