I am in the process of creating my power panel and I have added graphics that I do want to show up but I don't want them to be perform any actions. (TV, DVD, etc. - the on and off switches should perform the actions)

If I don't assign an action to the button then it doesn't show up. I noticed that frames are graphics without actions. Is there a way to take a button and change it into a non-action performing element (like a frame)?

I have my page set up and would prefer not having to start over.

In reading the faq - it seems like I could add a delay as the only action but I would like a cleaner solution (if possible).

Thanks,

Mitch

How about going to PROPERTIES and then ICONS and right-clicking on the ICON and saving it. Then add a frame and go to ICONS and right-clicking on the NO ICON to load it. Works for me.

Dave,

Thanks for the tip.

It works exactly as I'd hoped.

Or just assign a ''delay'' to the action . that works as well

I prefer not using the delay as the button beeps each time it is pressed - potentially confusing users and it just doesn't seem to be the ideal solution. By saving the graphic as a bmp and then loading as a frame it does not need an action to be displayed.

I was kind of wondering what all those bmp files were doing on the forum :-)

There's an easier way than doing a "save" then a "load.": Just add a frame, and let the default square show up. Then hold down ALT and use the left mouse button to drag the current button into the new frame (hold down ALT until your done). This copies all the icons from the button to the frame. Then delete the original button. This can be used to copy icons from button to button also, without also copying the action list.
