With my Pronto 2000 comes a New Love-Hate relationship with a strong emphasis on the HATE side.I have reached new levels of frustration, anxiety, and sheer madness. I have worked on this remote for no less than two weeks straight trying to understand the little quirks and nuances that only this thing would have. I feel like that everytime I get through one thing, something new pops up completely unexplained. I am starting to think that if a person took all the hours they have spent on this little JEWEL of Philips...and put that into a monetery since they would start hunting people down. The Panja is starting to look pretty good right now. Why would anyone put out a device that they a) don't really support and b)God forbid they support the software that came with the unit. Damn, I forgot.... this is reality!
Someone tell me why all of a sudden the Emulator in PE2.0 won't work now that I have installed discrete codes. Is there a problem somewhere or should I just forget It and HUM this Piece of @#^%&$#% out to my Lab. Computers are a wonderful thing, I just wish Companies would really go out on a limb and actually test their new equipment for bugs etc., instead of the good ole consumer getting to test it at our own expense.
Sorry for rambling- too much coffee

Mike -

There is a known bug in the PE v2.0 emulator that causes it to crash when it encounters a manually entered IR code (as opposed to learned code or one used from the UDB). It appears to be associated with the fact that PE v2.0 does not allow you to save a label for a manually entered code.

While I agree that there are some minor problems with PE v2.0, I am still very pleased with my TSU2000. All software has some bugs, and yes it is frustrating when you encounter them. Hopefully this bug will be corrected in the downloadable version of v2.0 (whenever it becomes available). However, when I look at the big picture, and see all the incredible things the Pronto does for me (like eliminating five separate remotes from my coffee table and allowing me to, with one button press, do what used to entail picking up four separate remotes and pressing one or two buttons on each), then the little nuances and bugs are a lot easier to deal with.
