I need your help. I got my new Pronto TSU-2000 yesterday. I went to the Philips site and downloaded what I thought was an upgrade (Pronto Upgrade Sys. V 3.6, App V 4.81 (718 KB)) but found out from the Philips support guys that this upgrade was for the old Pronto and that it screwed up my TSU-2000. Now it won't even turn on. He said Philips can't do anything because it had to do with ProntoEdit. I tried uploading the default configuration in ProntoEdit, but it can't connect to the remote. He said I'd probably have to wait a couple weeks for the TSU-2000 sys to show up on the Philips' site. Any ideas?

Nope. You'll just have to wait.

A word of warning to others: ALWAYS CHECK WHAT REVISION OF FIRMWARE YOUR REMOTE ALREADY HAS! APP version 5.0 or 5.1 is CERTAINLY newer than the downloadable version 4.81!

Actually ProntoEdit V2 is fully supported by Philips.

V1.05 is offically a beta version and not supported. You should be able to push them to swap it over.

I took the easy way out. J&R Music was great and was willing to take it back and send me a new one. They have great customer service.

A review of the licensing agreement that pops up on screen during the 2000 software install will reveal that the software is NOT supported by Philips. I thought that as it was distributed on CD-ROM that it was supported until I went back and read the agreement.

Took a lot of work to figure out how to see the licence agreement (actually have to delete a registry entry).

Interestingly it is still headed "Beta License Agreement".

Sounds as though they forgot to change the wording when they brought out V2.

Or, they wanted to have a loophole.
