I have seen several messages that are related to this problem, but not precisely the same and was wondering if anyone else had encountered it...
First time trying to charge the NiMH battery (which was very low when recieved), the charge light stayed on for about 5 minutes, then cut off. If I lift the remote off the dock and return it, the light goes on again (for about five minutes). It does seem that the battery charge meter increments slightly each time as long as I keep repeating this procedure, but what a pain!
Is this normal or do I have a bum unit?

I had the same problem just keep it on the base and keep using the remote, in a little bit of time you will have a full charge.

Such problems typically improve after the first week or two.
