In an earlier thread I had asked about video switching
the inputs on a TV (SonyXBR53") I have a DVD player that views on Video input 5. Sat. is on input 3. I created some aliases with delays for the Sat. I did not use discrete codes. Do I need discrete codes to make this work flawlessly. If so, I have copied the discrete codes to a word file. My questions and confusion are this. I pick the button for instance TV/Video go to action, set IR, advanced, then click on RC5x? Back to view IR. How many discrete codes can be copied in the box. In addition, the button I wanted to program is on my home page. It it named ch. guide. I also have play DVD. can all of this be done fairly easy?
Thanks
Mike

do not really understand question fully but yes when it comes to inputs and on/off discete codes are always better as it will ignore an input if it is already in that state. As far as entering the discrete code are you double clicking on the default code that comes up when you select rc5/6? Your paste your code from your word file in this box. Be sure that it overrights the code that is in there at first. As far as I know you can only use one discrete code but could add several in a macro to complete an action. have you checked out the FAQ section. Lots of good information!
