I'm hoping some of you Pronto users out there can help me.

I'm using a TS1000 w/ sys V3.62, app V4.85.

Recently, it's begun going dead in the middle of using it, as if the batteries were taken out. No power at all. A few minutes later, it will come back on, and function fine. Battery strength is at about 90% according to the onboard meter.

I've gotten used to the random reboots that the unit seems fond of, but this is something new.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem? If so, was there a quick fix, or is this a service call type of thing.

Thanks,
Rob

When I've seen this happen, it's the batteries. Maybe you mixed old and new batteries, and the meter is having problems correctly registering batteries of varying charges.

Try 4 brand new batteries and see if that helps. Every time my Pronto starts rebooting every 5 minutes, a quick battery swap fixes it every time.

What's happening is your remote is rebooting. There could be several causes of that, but it's best to check the batteries first.
