I have had no luck running PE 1.05 under 2K. Works fine in my 98 partition. I just discovered that RC5000 Setup works fine under 2K. My machine is a Dell Inspiron 7500. Any thoughts.
thanx in advance...r

It would help to know what exactly is happening (or not happening).

You'd think after 15 years of technical support I'd learn to give details. Go figure.
When I try to run Prontoedit WIN2K says immediately "Prontoedit has generated errors and will be closed by Windows."
No other clues.
Thanx

A strong likelihood is your video card driver. Try reducing hardware acceleration.

There is no acceleration on the Inspiron video that I know of. Also Prontoedit runs just fine on W98 on this machine. Further, 5000i Setup runs no problem on 2K.

You would have a different video driver on Win98 compared to W2K. You should find the acceleration settings under the Advanced button on Settings, then the Troubleshooting tab.

Hmm, any details as to what kind of error (with what files)? A lot of those type of problems HAVE been video card driver related... some Emulator problems have even been sound card driver related. Are you using the exact same downloaded install file for ProntoEdit in Win2000 as you did in 98?
