I suspect that you need to delete the old pronto.ini file before installing V2. There is a new line in it that you need to have, and V2 is not replacing the ini file, and thus the new line is missing.

Hi Dan,
I ran into this same problem. You need to delete the old pronto.ini file before installing version 2.0. This file is in the following location:
C:\Windows\pronto.ini
Just delete this file and then install version 2.0.

No it doesn't.
You can edit a CCF and save it in 1.05 format.
But you cannot download to a 1000. You must use 1.05 to do that.

I use prontoedit 2.0 to download into both my new TSU2000 and my old TSU1000. I've had no problems and have not had to explicitly specify a file format.
Incidentally, I tried to just use 1.04 to download my old CCF into my new TSU2000, and it seemed to work - the screens looked correct and all - but it wouldn't emit any IR. I simply downloaded the same CCF with 2.0 and it worked fine after that.
O got the TSU2000 because I broke the 1000. After I fixed the 1000, I downloaded into it using 1.04 and the same thing happenned - it looked OK but wouldn't emit any IR. After I then used 2.0, all worked fine.

Jeff, the difference between V1.05 and V2 CCFs is that 6 bytes has been put in front of each IR Code. These 6 bytes identifiy the device/brand etc for database codes and are all zero for learned codes.
You can open a V2 CCF in V1.05 but it gets confused by the extra six bytes and thinks that all the IR codes are invalid - which is what you saw.
Are you sure that your 1000 worked properly after downloading from V2? It is not supposed to work (at least the IR codes shouldn't work for the reasons given above).

Phil -
Are you sure you downloaded v2.0? I just checked that site, and the latest version I saw available for download is v1.05. I believe PE v2.0 is not available for download anywhere yet - it is only available on the CD-ROM that comes w/ a TSU2000.

I just got the TSU2000 off e-bay and it never came with the CD containing pronto edit v2.0 I was wondering of someone could email the program or post it on this site. I really need this software. I tried to get in touch with the guy who sold me the unit but no success. Help! DAN S [email protected]
