PS2 remotes, are they compatible with my RC5000?

Has anyone tried learning codes from any PS2 remotes adn do they work? I'm looking to by a remote and wondered if they are all the same or some uses the IRDA instead.

I have used the joytech remote available in the uk, and
the marantz rc5000 has learn't these codes ok.
I also have the ems remote control but as proved awkward to use with ps2, (buttons don't work as labelled) haven't tried learning to pronto yet

We have a Joytech infra-red remote for our PS2 and I am looking for the code so I can program our new universal remote. I would really appreciate it if you could pass this on to me,

The Saitek one works fine too, and it has a pass through so youu don't have to unplug the controller.
