I came across the [Link: remotecentral.com] thread about repairing buttons, and saw nothing in more recent posts about permanent solutions e.g. RS 15-1994 [Link: buttonworx.com] OFA 6131 [Link: buttonworx.com] MX-900 [Link: buttonworx.com] I cannot speak to the longevity of buttons for remotes without replacement membranes, but the membranes I replaced in 2019 are still working well. Buttonworx also has the metal snap domes that Logitech uses for those needing to fix a Harmony.

To fix remote buttons, I recommend buying some "conductive paint", often sold for "guitar shielding". You can paint this onto the pads on the bottom of the buttons in the button sheet and it will fix them. I see a bottle on eBay right now for $12 with free shipping. [Link: ebay.com]
