I have a Time Warner UR5U-8780L-TWM remote. I have programmed it to my RCA TV but when I use the video source function the input menu comes up but I am unable to scroll through it.

That's a remote made by URC, and is different to the remotes made by UEI--which are more programmable.  So far as I know, these instructions cover all of the ways to program this remote

I went through these instructions and i even talked to TW customer support. The tv is programmed to the remote the I just cannot scroll through the video source menu. Maybe the instructions will fix this and I jyst couldn't figure it out.

You're unable to scroll while in the cable device, how about when you switch to tv device?

So what keys on the tv remote allow you to scroll? Cursor pad? Ch up & down? Whatever keys you need to scroll do they work at all on the universal?

On the tv remote the channel buttons don't allow me to scroll its some key pad with arrows in all 4 directions and an ok button in the middle. Those keys work on the universal but not to scroll through the video source menu. When i use those it takes me back to functioning the cable box.

That's the problem, the cable commands are in the way in the tv device.

See the directions on this page:

Along the left side click on Channel control.

Thanks, but he confirmed 2 years ago in post #8 that multiple presses didn't work on his RCA TV. And he hasn't been back since.
