HERE's the best site for finding codes. If you do a Device search for TV 0650 and click EFC's in the results, you'll see that OK is 24885. Your instructions will put TV OK on Setup-OK, if that's what you wanted. If you just want it on the OK button, I'd leave out the press setup step just before the typing the code.

Hey mdavej,

I think you meant to say that OK (not power) is 24885.

He does need to press setup before entering in the 5 digit EFC (and just after entering 994). My source for that is the fine set of instructions that you wrote up, and posted at hifi-remote.com!

If he wants to put the two button press combination Setup-OK on the Select/OK button, then it goes 994-setup-EFC-setup-Select/OK

Good deal. Thanks 3FG. I had power on the brain for some reason. I fixed my post. A big thanks to Vicky for the awesome search tool. It needs to be stickied here (if possible) and at avs.

I have a new HCT LCD tv that used the LG code 11265. I would like to program the okay button to work with the tv so when I try to change inputs it will actually work. All help is appreciated!

The necessary info is already in this thread, but it is spread out a little bit.

1) go to www.getzweb.net/jp1/, and click on device search.
2) convert 11265 into 4 digit setup code format by dropping the leading digit, and selecting Type as TV.  Leading 0 implies Cable, 1 implies TV, 2 implies Video, and 3 implies Audio.  Now you should have Type (TV), setup id (1265).  You may also choose your remote, but it isn't necessary for this procedure.  Click Search.
3) On the new page, at the far right, click on the link titled EFCs.  Look for OK or Select, and note the (in this case) 3 digit EFC.  Sometimes the EFC is 5 digits.  Looks like OK is EFC 164.
4) On your remote, make sure that you have device mode TV selected (or whatever mode your setup code is assigned to).
5) Press setup until 2 blinks
6) Enter 994
7) Press setup briefly
8) Enter 00164 (or 00 + whatever 3 digit EFC you want assigned to the key, or the 5 digit EFC.)
9) Press the OK/Select key (or other key that you would like to assign a function to.)
10) You should get 2 blinks.

This procedure works for any function that you can find in the EFC table, and you can assign to most keys.  Obviously the setup key won't allow itself to be reassigned, and typically the device mode keys can't be assigned.

LG BluRay is EFC is 00229
Samsung TV is 00069.

If those don't work, post the setup codes you're using, so I don't have to guess.

Assuming you're using setup code Audio 0823, the EFC is 17380.

You can get many of these by using the Lookup Tool. To get the above EFC,
first click on "by Setup Code." Then Select Audio and enter 0823. On the next page, click on "EFC" near the right edge of the page. Scan down to OK/Select.

I used some tools from hifi-remote.com to find out that a SX-315 would use 0823, and those also suggest 17380. Probably your receiver uses the same signal.

3FG, I cant thank you enough for your xbox 360 codes. I had to use the big white game controller which my son would not leave alone during a movie.

Thank you so much.

Outstanding 3FG, thank you. This has helped me out more then you could imagine. Once I got the hang of programing the remote and figured out the best mapping of keys on the remote your list was invaluable. Thank you so much for the work on this and the speedy posting.
Here is a quick break down of what does what for anyone wanting to program their remote for a XBOX 360.
00241 silver / guide
00001 “A” / green
00235 B / red
00081 X / blue
00003 Y / yellow
00027 Back
00226 next track (next chapter in DVD or media)
00218 prev track (prev chapter in DVD or media)
00241 SILVER = (Guide dashboard)
These where the most important features to me.

Thank you again.

Airborne

Thank you so much for the post. It's really informative!

We need to know which model of TV you are using and the setup code. Or, you can do this yourself by following the instructions in post #51, substituting your setup code for 11265.
