TV volume only works with the polaroid remote, as does power on/off. The comcast delta remote only changes channels +/-. no other keys do anything but blink red once.

I get picture and sound using the DTA and the tv...when it was activated this came through loud and clear. Yes I do have the original remote that came with the polaroid TV, and yes it is set to channel 3 on the TV (if not I get white noise on the screen) as well as the switch on the back of the DTA.

The model FLM 1514B is read from the back of the TV.

Well, I'm sorry, but I don't have any further ideas.

Wow, I have this very same problem with this very same TV. I spoke with Comcast earlier today, and was told that Polaroid has not provided them with new codes and until then, we're out of luck...unless we can get some new codes out of Polaroid, which I haven't tired yet. Oh well, having to use two remotes isn't the worst thing in the world, just a bit inconvenient. Hopefully, we'll get some new codes soon.

Have you tried the setup codes in post #41? And do you have a DTA or instead a silver or dark grey remote?
We know that some FLM 1514B Polaroid TVs do respond to those setup codes. Maybe yours is one that will respond.

Polaroid TV/DVD combo TDA-03211C
Trying to operate with COX Communications M7820 universal cable remote.
Here's a picture of the remote:

THE UEI TV code for polaroid tv/dvd combo is 1991. The dvd code equivalent of that code is dvd 1480. if they're not in your remote you're out of luck.

After I'd tried searching for the code with my remote to no avail, I manually input the 1991 code above and found my remote wouldn't accept it. Turns out my remote didn't have this newer code programmed. So, after finding a newer remote and programming the code into it, I found that 1991 would NOT work for my Polaroid TDA-03211C tv as others said it did. *insert gripe here*.

Now armed with the newer remote, I searched for the code again using the search feature of the remote and it landed on 1498 which works. I didn't find anyone who had suggested this code, so I registered just so my pain might help someone else.

A piece of advice - just make sure the universal remote you are using is at least as new as the TV or other component you are trying to operate.

Glad that you got it to work. Regarding the gripe, aim it at Polaroid. In this thread, in posts 14 and 16, mse said that 1991 did not work for the TDA-03211C. In post 38, seemore reported that it did work. The model FLM 1514B has apparently also changed IR protocols at some point. One lesson here is that Polaroid doesn't necessarily change model numbers when they change components.

On my 3211 code 22 worked - only two digits would "take".

Hi 3FG, I too am having the same issue with the Comcast DTA remote not functioning with the Polaroid FLM-1514B. I tried all codes and the closest is the one you referenced 10030 but it will not recognize the power on/off. All other functions seem to work; ch+/- (DTA ch:u/d) vol+/-, last, mute but no power on/off function.

When I ran through the 9-1-1 search several did turn the tv off but never on and other functions were either messed up or did not work at all. Like codes 11178 & 11240.

This is frustrating having to use a seperate remote for power on/off. I have 3 Comcast DTA's & remotes and all the remotes are the same and act identical.

Any further suggestions would greatly be appreciated - Thanks

Realistically, the DTA remotes just aren't going to successfully send Power signals to the Polaroid.  You can find Comcast (or Xfinity) DVR remotes on eBay for $6 shipped.  Just make sure that you get one that has a red OK/Select button.  Use the 982 command to unlock the cable setup code, and use 01982 for the DTA.  10030 should still work for the TV, but now we expect the Power signals to work.

I have a Polaroid FLM-1512 (Mfg. March 2006) TV/monitor and I am trying to program a DirecTV RC23 remote control for volume and on/off functions. I've read the thread and tried all the codes listed; a lot of them are invalid for this remote. 2 of them come close, but make the volume toggle on the RC23 remote control the sound function of the TV (news, personal, theater, etc., etc.). Don't want to get rid of TV, but would like to put it's remote in the drawer. Any other ideas?

I just bought the Polaroid GSR-4100KN LED TV and none of the codes worked for the Directv RC64. I called Directv and they told me I had to upgrade the remote to RC66R. I when and got the RC66RX and still no luck the string is a little older but was hoping someone would have a code. The 11523 code works but with the wrong bottoms like the number 5 key is volume up and format is mute and prev is the input. I don't know if this will help to find the right code. I look all over the form for the right code no luck.
Thanks
