Hello all,

I'm using device code 1023 for Pioneer surround receivers (mine's a VSX-D411). I need advanced codes for this receiver--specifically the vcr/dvr & dvd/ld inputs, discrete on, discrete off. Anyone got 'em? Thanks!

Barrett

Setup code 1023 doesn't accept advanced codes, see if your remote has setup code 0013, if it doesn't you're out of luck. The advanced codes used with Setup code 0013 are, VCR/DVR-058, DVD/LD-192, ON-247, OFF-251

Thanks edmund, Robman.

I'm using the 8810. It doesn't include setup code 0013.

This Pioneer receiver is only two years old. Input switching is a pretty fundamental aspect of controlling a modern surround receiver. Why isn't OFA providing better support for recent and current Pioneer receivers?

They can only fit so many codes into each remote, and they can only fit so many buttons into each code. Like any other universal remote that replies on built in codes, they're not perfect. Fortunately, your URC-8810 remote is a learning remote, so you can capture the missing buttons from your original remote.

If you no longer have the original remote, you still have the option of using JP1 to program the URC-8810
