Need assistance on getting 9960 to control Marantz SR73 receiver. Tried 12 or so codes given by UEI telephone support with no success. Also, tried scanning (est 200+ scan clicks). I attempted to research via this website advance tricks, but I am a bit overwhelmed. I'm consider myself fairly technical, but not ready for JP1 yet. Any programing guidance appreciated.

If your Marantz is anything like mine have been, you will need to use both a reciever code and an amp code to control it. If you use jp1, there are some device combiners that you can use that work. The AMP code will control the volume and the reciever code will control the inputs (usually these are on the number keys). I forget which controls the power, as it has been so long since I set up my remote with jp1 and I just haven't had to think about it anymore when I turn on my Marantz receiver.
