It appears my snazzy new remote has died within 3 weeks of usage. If left sitting on the table it does power on and off by sensing the vibrations.
If I pick it up and select a function, it flashes ALL of the "LED" patterns on the touch screen, and then powers off and then on again. It appears as if it might be rebooting, but any attempts to touch a button has the same effect.
Has anyone seen this issue? I emailed tech support who is in vacation till the new year.
thanks

Just for the heck of it, why not try a fresh set of batteries?

That is how it warns/tells you of low batteries... a fresh set of batteries and everything will be ok. You might want to consider placing the remote on a soft chair or something to help cut down on the false ons. And you also might consider a set of nimh rechargable batteries. These remotes are not exactly battery friendly! :)
