I have a Kameleon 8 and sometimes it does not power up when I move it - I have to actually press the touch screen.
This problem is intermittent.
Is it defective? Need new batteries?
TIA.

I have heard of this problem before, try restoring it to factory defaults. If it still has problems I would exchange it.

Thanks.
I returned it last night.
Hopefully, this one will be better.

My 2133 has the same condition -- but given how much juice the backlighting eats up (Kameleon owners are always complaining about how often they must replace batteries), I consider it a good thing that it doesn't activate until I absolutely want it to.

True, I never thought of looking at the problem that way ... kind of like an 'undocumented feature' :).
I was also worried that it might be an indication of more serious problems for the future such as not powering up at * all *.

Indeed. Before I finally tossed mine away, I had cut the motion sensor out of it in an effort to make the batteries last longer than two weeks. And that stupid spring loaded screw on battery door meant that the wife couldn't manage to change the batteries when they died.

I should write a review on this thing in an effort to keep others from buying one.
