I would imagine that it won't work.

Windows 7 would not be in the supported OS list within NevoStudio.

The only thing you could try is disabling IPv6 in windows.

For others people who want to install nevo on windows 7 :

In fact that is the same problem than nevo and vista.
I had to install .net framework 1.1

Fabrice,

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7? Nevo never got around to adding 64-bit Vista support, so I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I'd really like to be able to run the darn program on one of my laptops one of these days.

I'm running my Nevo Studio in Windows 7 using XP Mode in Windows & Ultimate. If you don't have a version of Windows 7 where you can use XP Mode, I would just set up a dual boot and run Nevo Studio in the XP install.

NevoStudio Pro in XP Mode works great. I only found that the NevoConnect NC-50 doesn't seem to get recognized in the virtual machine via USB but the remotes connect fine.

Okay. I have NevoStudio Pro running in a VMWare virtual machine under Windows 7 Pro. I just installed NevoStudio 2.0 (for the NevoSL) and it crashes during the registration process. This seems to be the same problem as the OP but this with Windows XP Pro SP3. The virtual machine shouldn't matter since for all intents and purposes, the application only sees XP and not my Win7 host. Any takers?

Installed NevoStudio 2.0.2 (for NevoSL) under the following operating systems:

Windows XP Professional 32-bit (virtual machine)
Windows XP Professional 32-bit (physical machine)
Windows Vista 32-bit (physical machine)

All of the above have the same problem: Crash upon attempt to register the software.

All machines have IPv6 disabled.

I'll be talking with my installer tomorrow and I'll have them place a trouble ticket with Nevo so that this problem gets resolved. FYI, both of the XP installations are brand new.

Hi,

Just to make it clear.

Just because you may have .net 3.5 (or any other version) installed does NOT mean that 1.1 is installed.

Think of them as individual pieces of software, not an update.

You need at minimum .net 1.1 and .net 1.1sp
There is an outside chance that you may also need .net 2

Chris, the SL doesn't use NevoStudioPro. It uses the older program, NevoStudio.

After reviewing all of the various .net installations, yes, I was missing version 1.1 (and associated updates). After installing .net 1.1 the registration process for NevoStudio went smooth as silk. All good here.

@brodyboy
You may want to check for the same problem I ran into. Now I have both NevoStudio Pro and NevoStudio running under an XP virtual machine.
