Hi!

I need to operate web-pages with javascript on my Nevo S70, but it seems impossible. Do you know, if Nevo supports JS? And if no, what can you suggest me to wiew web-pages with JS? Maybe, Pronto will be better than Nevo or there's new firmware with JS support?

Does the NevoS70 browser support javascript? It seems not but I wondered whether I have something set up wrong.

Any advice appreciated.

Nick.

I remember a while back while talking to one of the Nevo trainers, they told me something about the browser supporting Java script, but not full Java plug-ins. The reason this came up during the training was because he demo'ed a Panasonic IP camera to us and told me that the interface being sent down from a Panasonic IP camera was in JS. I'm not sure if this is true or not, but that's what I heard.

Have you actually tried to send a page written in JS to the S70's browser? Are you hosting it from a PC or something?

Other than that, I don't know what else to tell you.

Hi Ry-dog, You will have seen from my post on upnp that I am trying to find a solution for controlling music playback from a high quality PC based solution. As I can't get upnp to work, I am trying J River Media Center with their WebRemote solution. The web pages reside on the PC and interact with the player. The plain HTML aspects of the pages display OK on the Nevo but the Javascript statements won't work. Very frustrating!

Nick.
