Hiya guys & gals this is my first post to the forum so hopefully you will go carefully with me...

I am desperately trying to get the web browser (Squeezebox) to work on my S70. The S70 can see and is connected to the router but it still cannot access any web pages.

When I run the "Emulator" the web pages appear.

I would really appreciate some help on this one.....

If it helps I am running Windows 7 with a Netgear DG834N router.

Thank you in advance

The emulator uses your computers connection Ethernet so it is wrong to think the S70 will work.

It is a good indicator that your programming is correct though.

What you need to do is look within the S70's configuration to see if it is actually joining your network. Settings/WiFi.

The most common issues are:
1. Wrong SSID, caps sensitive.
2. Wrong security type selected
3. Wrong security code entered.
4. MAC filtering set on router.
5. Wrong region set.
6. No DHCP server set on router.
7. WiFi turned off on the remote.

As a rule i would say to disable the security on the network to start with. Then
once it connects put security back on.

Also, as this is a "N" router you may need to turn off ALL the "N" features.

Hope this helps.

Sydinstaller - Thank you for your response.

Please can you advise me on the below in response to your reply.

1. Wrong SSID, caps sensitive. - where does this get inputed on the software
2. Wrong security type selected - I currently have the WPA2-PSK as the security option is this correct
3. Wrong security code entered. - where does this get inputed on the software

4. MAC filtering set on router. - it is set up to allow all items connected to the router with the correct logon and password
5. Wrong region set.- Europe in both software and router
6. No DHCP server set on router. - I believe this is set to auto
7. WiFi turned off on the remote. - turned on and recognises the router

Two things:

1. To get to the WiFi settings, click on the "gear" looking button near the top center of NevoStudio Pro. Once there, make sure to check the "enable wifi" check box and then go to the WiFi tab. Fill out the necessary info there.

2. Since you mentioned trying to get the S70 to work with the Squeezebox, have you downloaded the application note that shows how to get that working? It's available in the Downloads section of the dealer site.
