I am thinking of picking up a Pronto Neo at Best Buy but when I went and tested it out yesterday the calibration was terrible. I would press what I thought was the soft button I wanted and the remote would register the button above it. Has the latest update improved this?

Yes, absolutely. I had the same problem, my NEO was about a "third button" off. After the update to 1.3, the screen is accurate to the pixel (I use a PDA stylus).
