How do I set the hard button to control volume (receiver) when I'm on a different device mode? I think it's called punch-through?

Russ,
Program the Neo to control the device then go back and use the learn function to program the codes for your receiver onto the hard buttons. With V 1.3 and it's upload function you don't have to worry about losing the learned codes every time you change something. There may be another way, but this is the easiest way I've found to do this. Good luck.

I have a lot of my learned codes stored in buttons I never use. Just nasty looking pages in a device I labeled "learned codes." Now as I fiddle with layouts and such I don't have to worry about lossing a code I need when I erase a button. I simply link the new buttons to the buttons with the codes. This is also nice if you want vol to always be you amp vol. Instead of learning the code 10 times, you learn it once and then link it ten times. Anyway, this is not an original idea but very helpful. It takes some time at first, but saves loads of it later. Good luck.

I use basically the same mechanism.
Don't you mind that this device is visible in the device overview? It's not needed there, right?
Maybe this mechanism could be made part of the system. Some kind of background devices where you can make links to. That way you could change all keys at once if you can change the brand of such a backgroun device.
What do you think?

Ya know, this is something that is quirky as well, with the NEO. I set up my receiver/tuner just fine. Then I went into the software and created a LINK to the "Tuner" volume keys on all the volume keys in every category(Satellite/TV/CD/...). When I do this, the volume button that is linked will not continue to work when held down. Meaning, when I press and HOLD the volume button, the NEO think I just pressed it once and released it. I must keep pressing it for it to continue the volume adjustment.

This does not happen when I learn the function to the key(thats what I did, until they fix this issue).
