There are only 2 codes for sylvania tv's in the manual and neither of them work. Does anyone know of any alternate codes that might work? Also I have a viewmaster cable box and an insignia brand tv and neither manufacturer is even listed in the manual. Can anyone help me out with these codes?

I answered your question in Discrete Hunter Forum thinking you were looking for Discrete Hex codes, it would seem you are not.
If the 'setup' code for your device is not in the database then you will have to learn the codes from the original remotes then 'upload' this info from the remote in order to backup what you have learnt.

I really don't know how this is done. I don't even know what a discreet code is. I am a beginner. The codes in the manual do not work for the sylvania tv's and there are none at all in the manual for insignia tvs and viewmaster cable boxes. I do not have the original remotes. I can u help me? I am clueless.

You have set yourself a Huge Task, No original Remotes and a TSU500.
It can be done but the time you're going to have to spend and the software you're going to have to familiarise yourself with, it's probably not worth the effort.
If you'd bought an Original Pronto or an NG then it would have been so much easier.
