Hi

My Pronto 500 doesnīt work with my Panasonic TH 42 PA 50 Plasma.

When i try to work with the " Learn" Function i get the "Failure " Beep.
The remote controll of my Pioneer AX 3 Receiver learns the functions.

When i try to learn the functions using the Pioneer remote controll the Pronto canīt learn it too.

What can i do????

Sorry for my english,it isnīt very well!

Thanks a lot

Are you trying to do all this in front of the Plasma TV? Plasma's can interfere with IR reception. Try learning in another room or with the TV off. It may not be that though. The Neo can be tough to teach sometimes. You may need to just try all different distances and angles between the two remotes. Also try holding the button down for several seconds and also try quick taps.

Hi

Thanks for your answer.

I tested the tips you gave but it made no difference.
In the web i heard that the Pronto has often probs with Panasonic .
The remote control learned the most orders of my Panasonic DVD Rcorder, but no chance to learn the "Stop" button.

I heard that itīs possible to test codes for other Panasonic equipment but i think the easy way is to buy a Kameleon or another remote control.

But i am a little bit dissapointed because i thought the pronto is one of the best remote controls.

Thanks
schr

My pronto will not learn any codes if I have the backlight on.
Wait till the backlight goes off.

I'll try that. I just bought a new Panasonic Plasma and I have been having trouble getting it to learn or even use copied codes.

But I have also been trying at night in a fairly dark room and tuning on the back light.

well after 2 broken weeks of trying. I found that you have to try learning the buttons about 5 times before it will take. You also have to push the button on the panasonic remote first, then quickly hit the button you want to learn on the ProntoNeo.

I finally got the important buttons for my Panasonic Plasma to work. after I tweak the file somemore, I will post it up here.
