Can the MX-700 Editor software be used to download my system set up to an MX-800 remote. I know the remotes are essentially the same, but the Editor software is supposedly a little different. I own an MX-700 that is a little beat up and looking to get a used MX-800, and I just want to download my current set up it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for quick reply. Let's hope I don't need any kind of Live Update. :(

You won't be able to assign RF to the MX-800 with the MX-700 editor. You would be better off to use the serial number in the MX-800 to download the non-updateable software from URC. With the 700 or 800, the only changes you're going to see in the future via "Live Update" is to the IR database. Mike www.SurfRemoteControl.com
