Hello fellas, I am a newbie and have just purchased an RF-20. While I can still return it I have a couple of questions.
1. Can I enter discrete codes into this remote, and if so, how?
2. I just read a couple of threads that compared this to the UPC200, is the RF-20 OK, or is there a better remote at the same basic price point that I should look at? Is there a remote at this price point that I can input discrete ON/Off codes for my TV, DVD, VCR, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any help.

1. The only way is to learn them from another remote that has them.

2. It's essentially the same remote as the URC-200, just a newer model with a few differences. If you need RF, you'd have to move up to a PC-programmable URC remote like the MX-800 or 850 to get discretes. If you don't need RF, an MX-700 would be the lowest priced solution in the URC lineup.

The RF-20 does do RF. That's what the name stands for.
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.
