Anyone have a code for disc selection for this unit without going into the folder screen? Previously had a cx985v and operation was smoother/quicker for disc selection. Need a direct disc number access method...

there are no codes to go diretly to a specific disc. macros are needed
if you have an mx-3000 id suggest strongly in purchasing the DMX-3000 software from Triple B

Many if not all of the Sony Multi disk players have direct disk codes for disk one to five - but that's it.

I am using an MX-3000 with DMX, have tried the suggested macro, which works, but not consistently. Played around with various delays between display and right actions, without much benefit. Looking for a bulletproof macro that works without regard for current state of changer (loading, playing, stopped, etc).

I have a mx-3000 w/dmx software (1 pioneer 300 disk player and 2 sony maga-changers) and a 750+ disk library which I have been using regularly for almost 2 years. I have almost zero consistency problems. I use the dmx sony method. Send me your rcc file after dmx coding and I'll take a look at it for you. If there are no red flags there well have to start asking RF questions. Send your file to the email address in my profile.

if you do it that way then you will have a LONG delay because the power up delay itself is about 35 seconds.not to mention that this unit cannot disable the auto play function so it will ALWAYS play whatever dvd its on so you will have to input some stop commands also....if you instist it will look something like this...

Power-ON
30 sec delay
Stop
2 sec delay
Stop
2sec delay
STOP
2 sec delay

this macro will guarantee to put the player in a known status to start your dmx macro..
