Good morning.

I'm about to order an MX-900 and would like to get the software to start setting it up ahead of time.

Is this still availabe on the URC site? I can't locate it. Anywhere else I could find it?

Thanks.

You are going to need to contact a URC AD and ask them if you can have a copy. I am not sure if any of them will do this but it's worth a try. Since August 1st URC no longer freely provides copies of the s/w; there are numerous posts discussing this.

I would personally hold off on the MX-900 until URC figures out the button press issue with this remote. I have one and it is a very nice remote however not all button presses register on the first attempt and it does become frustrating. URC is supposedly trying to resolve this problem. If you do decide to buy one definitely purchase from an AD or CI because there is no guarantee that the update will be made available to those who purchase elsewhere.

Wait until we post that the firmware update works, IMHO.

So far it hasn't and I just got my replacement MX-900 two days ago.

However, when the firmware problem is fixed, I would definitely buy it. You'll love it!

Unfortunately, they are not offering a trial version of the Editor. I wish they would. It does help a lot of potential installers and DIYers decide if it is the right remote for them. I must say that the software is relatively easy to use.

Thank you,
