Question for the MX-850 experts:
Is is possible to program a channel button with a macro or shortcut that will do two things depending on how long you hold down the button?
What I want to be able to do is qive a short press on the channel 2 button and have it go to channel 2. I also want to be able to press channel 2 and hold it down for a second and have the channel change to 702.
Thank you, Mike

You can try. *shrugs*
First try it on a soft button since you can't assign macros to hard buttons. Have it send a '2'. Next assign a macro to the button and insert a 1 second delay. Finally ctrl-c the soft button and ctrl-v it to the 2-hard button.
Potential problems:
1) It'll send a "2" first. Your macro will need to either select a channel that starts with 2, or else somehow erase or get around the fact 2 has been pushed.
2) While holding down the button it might start to auto-repeat, which might mess up the macro. So you may want to learn a version of the button that won't auto-repeat. This might be as easy as learning the 2 button with a quick press so the MX never sees the repeat codes.

No luck. I will just have to get my wife to use the favorite buttons. I was hoping I could find her a one button solution to get her back and forth from HD to Analog.
Thanks, Mike
