1) Can you hide page 2 of the main menu? I only have seven devices and don't need page 2 which is blank.

2) How do enter the three digit P-PRO code for a device if you move the device to a different position on the main menu? For example I moved the TV (upper right position) to the Audio upper left postion) on the main menu. It seems that P-PRO will only accept codes for a particular device if it is in the correct default postion on the main menu.

I thought that the only problem I would face by moving devices on the main menu would be that I would have to re-edit and re-learn all the pages on the LCD screen for that device. It seems that P=PRO will only accept audio codes in the audio position and TV codes in the TV postion, etc.

I thought I could use P-PRO first and then use LEARN for anything missing or for different preferences, which is the way most people setup their universal remotes with learning capabilities. By moving a device to a different position on the main menu I am forced to use LEARN for all keys on all my devices. That is a pain.

1) no you can't

2) First it asks you want device you wished program, then it asks what device library the code is coming from, they dont have to be the same device key. To program former AUD device with a TV code:

1. main & ent
2. P-PRO
3. using the cursor keys, select the device to be programmed, in your case the upper left device key
4. press select
5. using the cursor keys, select the device the code is coming from, in your case the upper right device key
6. press select
7. enter code
8. save
9. main
10. main

Thanks for your help again, I see where I went wrong. However, the remote could be a little less confusing.

When I should have selected the device the code was coming from I again selected the device that I wanted to program because the message on the bottom of the screen said "From Table" at that point and not "From Device" so I pressed select again in order to enter a code.

One more question:

I could not find a code in the table or with a search of the remote in P-PRO for the following device:

Sony RDR-HX900 (DVD Recorder w/160 Gig Harddrive).

Maybe you know of a similar device that would work in P-PRO to get separate on & off buttons or if there are any discrete codes for it that could be learned somehow.

The manual explains the "From table" information quite nicely, btw.
When ignorance is bliss, ‘tis folly to be wise.
