My MX-850 went low on the battery
I replaced them.
Now goes in to the test, all good but the "Light Skip"
Then goes in to retest on and on with no stop
But the Light is always Skip.

Doesn't sound good - are you able to connect with the PC? If not, I'd give URC a call to resolve it.

Try removing the batteries and as soon as you re-insert them, press and hold MAIN and STOP for 15 - 20 seconds and see if you get a menu. If this stops it, you can try connecting to a PC and reloading the program, or just hit MAIN a few times to exit and see if it is okay.

I've had "Light -Skip" on my MX-800 for a couple of years now and it works just fine.

I can't remember if it changed after a LiveUpdate and download or not, since it was so long ago.

I tried everything under the sun back then, and then just decided, since everything was working perfectly, I would just leave well enough alone.

YMMV.
