I am looking for a device file for the DirecTV HR20 that works with the MX-700. I looked for the IR codes for the HS10 and HS20 but was not able to locate them.

Do you have the H20? It uses the same remote as well. Is your s/w updated (ie did you do a live update)?

Found the H20 in the IR Database. I will try that and then just learn the DVR functions. Thanks for the help.

Going back to the D10, the transport functions have been included in the preset code. Even though they had no use for them.

Right. Same for the H20 as it uses the exact same model of remote that the HR20, and probably the other models do.
There is a new big button version of the remote coming out, but it has exactly the same buttons, and I don't see why it wouldn't use the same codes.
