Just want the old MX-800 software. My hard drive crashed I lost MXeditor and I have two older MX-800's that I need to update. I tried the serial# route on the website but it's not recognizing it. Now i'm stuck with two very expensive MX-800 remotes that I can't program! Where can I get the old software (I don't care about updates)?

I think you need to put a letter in front of the serial number. Someone who did it will remember and post I am sure. Maybe try a search here but with all the "pollution" it may be hard to find.

If you have older MX-800's you may have a serial number as follows xxxx yyyyyy where the x's denote the manufacture date and the y's denote the serial number. an example would be 0703 0123456. When you input the serial number choose a letter in the drop down box and enter your serial number twice (once in each blank). The above example would be entered as K 0123456 0123456. If this doesn't work try one of the other letter combos such as KR, KB12 or KB13 in the drop down box.
Good Luck!

See, I knew someone would step up.

Entering the number twice worked! Thanks for the info.
