Well I assumed the intro was wanted to help cover the loading time of the disc in the changer. The way you describe here wouldnt do this, the disc would have to be completely loaded before you can issue the pause command and use the YES/NO screen so this method would always add more time to the process. It would definitely work, but not in the way I assumed it was wanted.
