I thought I answered well enough when you asked before.
[Link: remotecentral.com]

I did also suggest this was a better forum for future questions of this sort. So if you wanted clarification on some specific details of that answer, this is a better place. But just asking the question again gives me no hint how to improve my answer.

Of course there are other experts on this topic, and this is a better forum in which to get their input. Maybe one of them knows specifics about RC5 in an MX3000 and/or specifics of the new editing software that I don't know.

So if you're reposting the question in hopes of a better answer from a different expert (rather than a clarification of my earlier answer), that might be a reasonable hope and I don't mean to discorage it.

I'm sorry, but my english is not so good as I'd like to, and some times I get confused.
I didn't want to be unpolite with your attention.

This IR issue is completely new for me, and probably I didn't understand correctly wath you rothe.

I'm sorry again

1) Get MakeHex.zip from
[Link: john.fine.home.comcast.net]

2) Get IrPanels from
[Link: remotecentral.com]

3) Unzip both of them

4) Edit RC5.irp to change the device line to say
Device=21

5) Drag/Drop RC5.irp onto MakeHex.exe which creates RC5.hex

6) Edit RC5.hex

7) SelectAll and Copy

8) Start IrPanels.exe

9) Paste into the dialog of IrPanels and press Generate CCF file.

10) Open IRCodesCreate.CCF in the Universal browser

11) For each function in your list, convert the function number from hex to decimal (Windows calculator in view/scientific mode).

12) Drag that numbered button from the Universal Browser to the desired button of your MX.

Hi,

Thanks for the directions. I was able to converte the codes, but only the volume up & down work.
Do you think that can be related with the repited times of the code at IR Data Window????

I don't know how to even guess at what went wrong.

I don't think so.

Hi,

Finally, I solve the problem. It was a RC5 with Toggle bit. That means I have to creat 2 keys for toggle 0 and toggle 1, and make them jump from one to the other.
This make any sense from your point of view???

Sorry I didn't notice your post on Sep 25.

In RC5 each key should not work twice in a row. It should work again after you have used any other key.

The "toggle bit" provides two versions of each function. You can use the same function twice in a row if you use the other version the second time.

I guess you already figured out how to generate the two versions with MakeHex.

I don't know how to conveniently use two versions of each key in an MX3000. It sounds like you have figured out more about that aspect of it than I know.

When you press key at toggle 0, the tuner is waithing that the next key will be a toggle 1 code, and vice versa.
At the MX-3000 I made 2 equal pages with 0 to 9 keys. Page toggle 0, and page toggle 1, and a jump by replace from one page to other.
Now using the TV logos, I made exactly the same, but when a TV chanel is me by 2 numbers, doesn't jump.

If you are using a macro to jump to channels with the logo buttons, just be sure to use the different toggle bit codes for channel numbers that have more than one of the same digits together. You might also want to precede each macro with a "non" command, just in case the last button pressed was the same as the first digit of the macro string.
I hope this is what you were asking about.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
