On my DVD device page 4 (hidden), I have a P-ON macro, consisting of:
1 DVD PLAY
2 DVD STOP
which works fine. No delay is required, and it doesn't work correctly if a delay is inserted. It also works fine from a shortcut on the POWER device.

On the hard Power On button, I have a System-On macro which includes a call to the P-ON macro. The System-On macro works fine except for the P-ON macro call; the DVD does not turn on. If, in the System-On macro, I replace the P-ON macro call with the two individual DVD commands, then it works fine.

A macro is supposed to be able to call another macro, is it not?

I've never had success using embedded macros in the MX850.

Embedded macros were not supported in the MX-700, 800, 850. Embedded macros are supported in the 900, 950, 3000, and TX-1000.

Shortcuts to macros are, however, supported for the 700, 800, 850

That's correct. Pchek, you need to use the import macro button to import the macro you need to reuse in MX-700,800 or 850 Editor. It is not as powerful as nesting, but gets the job done.

Just remember that if you change the macro you imported, you will need to re-import it in the second macro.

It does not automatically update.

Yep, you guys are right. I was sure of having read macros could be nested. But, I just re-scanned the 850 manual [actually, the "2003 MXEditor Reference Manual Programming the MX800, MX-700 or MX-200 Remote Controls With MXEditor Software" manual], and couldn't find it. Must have read it about the 9xx series.
