It is absolutely fine to use an RFX-250 with an MRF-300. The MRF-350 simply comes with one.

Once again, the benefit of the RFX-250 is that it receives a much narrower band than the RFX-150, so is far less susceptible to RF interference.

However, it demands that the remote have a very stable, accurate transmitter. Only MX-3000's built after April 1, 2005, all MX-950s, all MX-900s and all TX-1000s are compatible.

I recently Installed a RFX250 in a problem job and it cured the RF issues we had.

We had RF that would work 100% 1 day and 1% the next then be fine for weeks then only a few devices would work then nothing and so on.

Eric and Joe sent me a Beta RFX 250 and BAM! things are good. That little antenna has restored some of my URC faith

Thanks Eric and Joe!

Glack,

Wow...I never thought I'd be reading that from you. It's nice to hear that you also had a good experience with the RFX-250. I know how frustrated you have been with their RF performance.

Thank you,
Damon DG

I'm thinking URC's RF is moving from Real Frustrating to Real Fine! ;-)

That's fine and dandy. Let's just get the MRF-350 moving to my real house. :) j/k

The MRF-350 simply comes with one.

That's good to hear.. so the MRF-350 is not tuned to better work with the RFX-250 and having the MRF-300 with the RFX-250 performs the same as having the MRF-350 and RFX-250.

When will the RFX-250 be available?

I still don't see the RFX-250 for sale anywhere. Did they come out yet?

Also, is the MRF-350 just an MRF-300 with an RFX-250, or is it different? Does it have a release date?

Glad to see the improvements, it just makes things a bit confusing!

It went great IMO. No problems and even greater range than the 300.

Eric can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that it's essentially the same as the 300. Should be out in a month or so.
