I've searched this forum and the concensus is that "the Keyspan USB serial adapter works". To be safe before purchasing, I'd like to confirm exactly which adapters folks have successfully used. I have an MX-700, by the way...
Here are the choices I'm considering from Keyspan:
USA-19QW USA-19HS USA-28X
If you have got any of these to work with a URC remote, please confirm. If between everyone, all 3 are confirmed, then great, more choices...

First of all i don't agree 100% with this. My experience is that the IOGear GUC232A is more reliable and that's based on 6 installers plus a few reps during training. If you spend some time searching on this board you will also find some people who bought the keyspan with poor results, while some have had success. I'm sure alot has to do with user error in the setup but that's a variable i can't predict. But why don't you just do it right and get a serial pcmcia card for your laptop if you have the slot available. Here is the Quatech one I have from Sewell direct...works like a champ and then if you want to get into programming for systems like amx or crestron you are good to go as you will probably find that the usb adaptor will not work for them. Thanks for the tip on the IOGear GUC232A. I'll put that at the top of the list.
If my laptop (Dell Latitude X1) had a PCMCIA slot, I'd take your advice there, but it doesn't. It has CF but the CF to serial adapters that I have seen are very expensive.
Comments on the Keyspan adapters are still welcome.

I have the Keyspan USA-19HS and it works perfectly. I tried the IOGear but it did not work for URC or Meridian products, that's why I got the Keyspan.
