Let me know if they work or not Nope! I also called Toshiba...they said URC determines their IR codes not Toshiba. What kind of crack smokers have they hired for tech support this week? I am sure URC wishes this were true, but alas I am still looking. I know someone has sold one of these guys in a system by now, they have been sitting waiting on this job in my warehouse for 2 weeks. Help a brother out!

The 42hp82 file in mx editor contains what it claims to be discreet power on and off via the top on/off hard buttons. Have you tried these? I don't have access to a toshiba tv so i can't verify for you but based on my experience with toshiba you may be out of luck. Also, if you have ProntoEdit, not NG or Pro...there are 6 discrete on/off commands under FlatTV-Toshiba. You can create a .ccf file under tsu2000 in ProntoEdit and drag/drop these commands via universal browser in MX Editor if you don't have a pronto to test.

I tried that one especially since it has worked for most previous plasma models. Hey Tweeterguy, you work out of that big badass Tweeter store in LV? I am the former GSM of the Tallahassee Sound Advice. My store was closed 1 year ago. Best thing that ever happened to me!

Yep that's the one. I'm a crew chief out here and it's been real good to me...been in top 10 in the country all the time. They just opened another one in chicago that is similar to ours, so I hear. Looks like you have your own gig down there now....that's sweet! Maybe someday I'll have the cash and balls to go out on my own :-)
p.s. re-read my last post before this....i added some more while i think you were replying...hope it helps. I'm going through the same BS with the toshiba hd-a1...what drag.

Got them from Toshiba in me email just now! Yipee! Now I just have to get them over into MX editor. When will URC ever work with hex files? What a waste of time. On the upside I guess it gives me job security! BTW I will share with those who tried to help me! Thanks Tweeterguy and Glackowitz!

Chris that was a no-go. I tried them today. The codes I emailed you were direct from Toshiba so they should be right. Could there be a flaw in the conversion to hex? Should I send these to Eric at URC to take a shot at it?

Jed,
You have a pronto right to test with right? How about these to test out?

Keep me posted. BTW, are you sure the info you were sent was definately for that model tv? Most of their tv's dont have discreet power capabilities. Hopefully you'll get lucky.
Hey I just realized that we probably have a 42hp95 at the store, the toshiba reps required us to have the hda1 hooked up to a toshiba tv :-) I'll try to get in there tomorrow to test some stuff out.

These codes came from Toshiba directly. I think the discrete codes we have only work 42hp66. The codes for the 42hp95 do not work the 42hp66 so I do not think the 42hp66 codes would work the 42hp95? Who knows? I only have a tsu3000 and tsu6000. I assume I can load those codes you just posted into one of them and learn them into the MX850 if they work?

Jed,
Just copy/paste them into your tsu3000 to test. If all is good let me know and i'll put them in mx for you.

Update Jed: The commands that I posted above DO work for the 42hpx55 (just verified this in the showroom) they DO NOT work for the 50hp66 (verified in the showroom as well) which leads me to believe that the commands they sent you are either for the 55 series or the 66 does not have discreet power capabilities. What do you think?

I am having the same problem with the 50HP66. Any suggestions? I dont even care about discrete input, just need on/off.
Thanks in advance!
