Just bought a Socket PCMICIA serial I/O card to replace my mostly reliable, but not always Belkin USB-Serial interface. This is basically the same OEM card that can be purchased from Toshiba, Dell ...etc.

Has anyone one had problems communicating with the MX-850 using one of these cards (I've sent a trouble report to Socket). All of the com port selections, settings are valid and working, but for some unknown reason I get a com port setting error when downloading to the MX-850 remote. My USB-Serial adapter interface still works so I know that the software, part of the cable (URC Cable portion) and remote work.

Any suggestions/ideas, while I wait for Socket's technical support to respond.

Thanks in advance
