I just started programming my new URC-300 to operate all of my components, but I am having a lot of difficulty with the remote learning commands from my Samgsung remote. One of the most annoying things is that the directional pad on the URC-300 does not work as it should. Right and left control the volume, and up and down give me a "not available in current mode" error. For example, when I access the TV menu, I need the directional pad to work in order to navigate through all the video and sound setting on the TV.

I used a pre-programmed code to start things off, and I have tried all of the Samgsung codes in my instruction manual. I have also tried learning commands from my TV remote. Even though the URC "learns" the command and says "good", the directional pad still does not work.

Does anyone have any codes that are not in the instruction manual or any other things I can try before I return the remote and start over with something else?

Thanks!
