Assuming you have MX-Editor.....

1. Open MX-Editor with your current file containing your FAVs
2. Right click on the FAV logo in the tree on the left
3. Choose EXPORT DEVICE
4. Ensure FAV is checked and click Export
5. Save the file to somewhere you can remember

In the future if you want to recall and restore these FAVs....

1. Open MX-Editor
2. Right click on the FAV logo in the tree on the left
3. Choose IMPORT DEVICE
4. Locate the file you saved and double click on it
5. Under Available Devices click once on FAV
6. Under Favorite click once on FAV
7. Now click the arrow pointing RIGHT
8. Under Device Assign choose a device if it was assigned to FAV or just click OK
9. Now click SAVE on the Import Device screen

Your FAVs have now been imported.

Most likely if you are having problems, the issue is the device the FAVs are assigned to does not exist in your current program. If this is the case make sure that you have the Used External Device available in the Assign Device To drop down and then click OK. This works similar to importing actual devices.

Are you just trying to set up the fav's in the mx-700 from scratch?

Or are you trying to import them?
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!

I am just trying to save Fav from scratch.
The manual says highlite Cable or Sat which I have neither, I tried clicking on TV in the tree but that does no good.
My channel for Fox is 54 and I would like to put that channel number in Fav of the Mx-700. If you could tell me how to do that and would be able to do the rest.

Thanks

Ahhh...well why didn't you just say so :-)

You obviously need to have the channel digits commands stored in the remote for Cable somewhere so what is that device called?

Open MX Editor
Click on FAV in the tree
Edit your LCD buttons to state your channels, i.e. FOX
Click on a channel in the LCD, i.e. FOX
Begin a Macro (step 5 under Program)
Click on the circle icon (red)
Now you are recording a macro
Click on the device which contains your cable channel controls in the tree
Click on digit 5
Click on the clock icon in the macro screen for some delay ( 0.5 should do)
Click on digit 4
Click on enter or select if that is setup for cable channels otherwise ignore
Click on the disc icon in the macro screen to save

Macro for FOX is done. Save the project and dl to remote.

Well thats easy isn't it. Thanks very much. I can't do anything to repay you unless you want to learn how to shift a 4x4 transmission that has 16 forward gears, Ha Ha.

Anyways thanks for your help.
