I am trying to get a file for a MX-850 for a Sony SLV-D360P, that has discrete codes on it. There is a file on this website but it is a .mxd file and the editor software for the MX-850 and MX-700 take .mxf files. How do I use a .mxd file? If anyone knows, please let me know. Thank You.

The .mxd file is an exported device file. You could import the .mxd file or if you just want a few of the discrete codes in the .mxd, I suggest you use the MX Editor's Universal Browser. You can't directly use .mxd files in the MX Editor's Universal Browser. You can create a .mxf file from the .mxd by using the MX-700/MX-800/MX-850 Editor by: 1. Create a new empty configuration 2. Right click on Main in the tree structure in the left panel and choose Import Device. 3. In the file dialog that appears, choose the .mxd file. 4. The Import Device dialog appears and click on the device name in the Available Device(s) panel, click on the > button and click the OK button in the Device Assign panel that pops up. 5. Click the Save button and you should now see the device in the tree structure. 6. Save the .mxf file and use that in the MX Editor Universal Browser to copy the IR codes.

Thank you for the quick response, it worked just the way that you described it. I knew it had to be something simple, and I am knew to the software. Thank you once again.
